Aim the water pipe through the duct so that the rushing water can take along with it the dust and the dirt. If your roof top is not very slanted and can be easily walked over, you can climb on top of the roof and clean your gutter. Also, if your roof is snow clad, it is best to avoid climbing on the roof since it is bound to be slippery and risky.

Removing gutter stains left by the prolonged stay of leaves rotten in water is definitely not compulsory, but can always be implemented to get a cleaner rain gutter.
