Contrary with popular opinion getting free web traffic is easy task if you know the right method. The problem with so many people bringing a lot of free traffic to their website is either because the traffic method outdated or they use the traffic method in a wrong way.
For example, back a few years ago keyword density is a big issue in the field of search engine optimization. Basically keyword density is the measure of how many times particular keyword appears in your web page. If the keyword density appears in the right proposition many SEO experts believe that your website will appear in the top ten of search engine result page.
Back In The Old Days
A few years ago I bought software that cost me around $399 to optimize my web page. With keyword density around 3% your web page really can appear in the top ten search engine result for particular keywords you were targeting back then.
But Today
But today, it is not the keyword density that becomes the main issue. I have seen a lot of web pages that rank well in the top search engine have keyword density less than 1%.
And that's shocked me for a while...
And what even shocked more is the fact that this web page has a link less than 4 links meanwhile my web page has around 100 links but rank below this web page.
The New Rule
After quite a while this brings me to the new discovery. It is not the keyword density that matter but the link that matter.
You can have a lousy page with just 100 words, but if you get a link for authority website such as Digg, you can appear in the top 10 search engine result pages in less than 24 hours.
I have done this over and over again.

You might be wondered why link from Web 2.0 website such as Digg weighted so much? It is because all the content in this website generated dynamical from its own users. Put it in simple words, this website is user-driven website not software-driven website like we saw a few years ago, when many websites used a bunch of RSS plug in to generate content taking excerpt from many websites around the web.
That's why the big search engines such as Google, love this website so much.
Another Realization
Another realization from Web 2.0 website is this website can create some sort of viral effect. If your product or website really that good, it won't take too long before people start talking about you on their blog, forum, or another Web 2.0 features.
The more people talk about you the more popular your website in the face of search engine. And the more popular your website in the face of search engine the better your rank will be.
