Before configuring Outlook in your system you required few listed information about your system and ISP. That may include your email address, user name, password, SMTP and POP 3 addresses and port number and the Secure Password Authentication. After getting all the information you’re all up to set up your Outlook account in your system. Given below a working method for the same.
User Information- Your Name, Email Address (provided by ISP)
Logon Information- User Name, Password (also provided by ISP)
Server Information- POP3 for incoming mail server and SMTP for outgoing mail server.
Making Outlook a one point destination for handling other email clients:
Microsoft Outlook allows their user to read and reply their Gmail and Yahoo mails directly from Outlook interface. It can be very productive in terms of time, as a user no longer needs to login their other email account. It only involve few series of step, after that your Outlook account is all set to view and edit Gmail and Yahoo mails.
This can be done manually – Under tool bar go to Account Settings then click on Add Account. Fill in all the details like
Account Type to POP 3
Incoming mail server to IMAP.GMAIL.COM and
Port to 993.
By configuring outlook account, a user avail itself with the facility to have an interface of its own choice. With some minor changes under settings you can make your account behave as per your needs.
