When I first began publishing, I had an opportunity to visit a mountain lake with friends. Despite needing to complete my ezine, I decided to enjoy the evening and finish the work early the next morning. However, the next day brought unexpected challenges. My electricity was out, and I had to take my wife, who was unable to drive due to a foot injury, to a doctor's appointment.
The day continued to unfold unpredictably. After the doctor's appointment, my wife insisted on dining out. We returned home late in the afternoon, and I was relieved to find the electricity restored. However, I was unable to connect to the internet due to issues with my Internet Service Provider (ISP).
As the evening wore on, the pressure of the impending deadline for the next issue of the ezine began to mount. I had promised my wife some quality time, but the ezine demanded my attention. I worked until the early hours of the morning, only to be awakened by our Tom Cat demanding to be let outside.
Finally, I was able to send out the delayed issue and finish the next one. However, upon checking my mail, I discovered errors in both issues. The first issue had an incorrect address in the title, and the second issue had the wrong date and missing contact information.
So, can anyone publish an ezine? Perhaps, but it's not as easy as it seems. A subscriber's harsh feedback and my wife's request for help with household chores only added to the stress. The reality of publishing is that it's a demanding job that requires a lot of time, effort, and patience.
In conclusion, while anyone can technically become an ezine publisher, it takes a certain level of dedication, resilience, and a good sense of humor to navigate the unpredictable challenges that come with the job. And yes, sometimes, it might even involve cleaning windows.
