You would think that misspelling would be a bad thing to do. We have been taught to spell correctly and have even been given spell check on our computers to help us out.  Even with that,The Advantage of Misspelling Articles we, in this day, do encourage misspelling when it comes to texting and chat rooms. Well there is one reason that misspelling can actually help you to make money.

When it comes to typing, we often misspell in our quick ways. Many times, it is typing the letter next to the one you really wanted. Or another misspelling is leaving a letter out. For example, how many times do you type ‘you’ when you meant ‘your’?  Another problem is the speed of your fingers and mixing the order of the letters, like ‘form’ instead of ‘from’. The spell check won’t even help you when it comes to these kind of mistakes.

Most people make money by one of two methods. One method of making money is called pay-per-click. When someone puts in a keyword, he is led to related sites that have advertising links. When he clicks on the links, the web site owner gets pay for it..

Another method is to purchase domain names that are common. By adding a ‘park page’ to it, the purchaser will profit from it.

But most ironic is the method of making money from other people’s mistakes. There are many people who actually want you to mess up with your spelling. Several domain owners have found a fortune in making money off of people’s errors. These owners love it when you make these typing errors. Much of their business income is from owning misspelled domain names. Some people actually own thousands of domain names and have made millions from them.

The trick to this is to figure out what mistakes might be common when people are trying to get to your site or another site. Think of the mistakes mentioned earlier–typing a letter beside the one they wanted, missing a letter, or mixing the letters up. You can register these sites and have them redirected to your principal web site. You will then benefit from figuring out people’s common spelling mistakes.

So the time has actually come where misspelling can be a good thing. Especially in this case where you can make money from people’s mistakes.
