How To Save A Relationship - Start With These Easy StepsProblems in life can make maintaining a relationship hard work and they can easily get into trouble. Here are some easy first steps on how to save a relationship and help you with building it into a stronger and more enjoyable union. What would really set you up for success is if both of you are interested in working together to improve your relationship. Perhaps you both are still in love with each other but are just having a hard time communicating for some reason. A famous quote is: "Life is what happens when you have other plans". And what happens usually interferes with a healthy relationship. Between a job - or more than one job, kids, bills and stuff breaking around the house it is hard to make your spouse or partner a priority and end up taking them for granted. But we really need to find out how to save a relationship so that our lives do not go further down the tubes. Handling life's challenges is not only easier but also more enjoyable when you have a loving partner in a healthy relationship to help you conquer the daily hurdles you face. So what is the next step? The next step is to analyze your priorities and see where your partner and relationship are on that list. What is ahead of them? If you are religious then you might have God at the #1 slot, and that is fine. But if your top priority is work or, get ready for this one, maybe even your kids, then it is no wonder to me that there is something other than bliss between you two. I know it's hard, believe me I know. And I am ducking as I write this because I know you might want to throw something at me for saying that anything should come before your kids (primarily for you gals) or before the job that puts food on the table for your loved ones (mostly for you guys). Think about it, though. Isn't it easier to handle the kids as a team with the two of you in a strong loving and emotional bond holding you together? Isn't it easier to deal with that demanding and/or crappy job when you have someone supportive to come home to? Find a way to put the job on hold for an evening, get a good sitter for the kids and take some time for just the two of you to be together, talk about things you used to talk about before the kids and before the job was so lousy. This might take some thinking to try and remember... It is critical, though, that you grow together over time and not grow individually or apart. Your mind and body can also stand some relief from the normal tensions you undergo, too. Then make a list, hopefully both of you, of just a couple things you can do in the next few days to be more supportive of your mate. We want to save a relationship, here, so put your ego aside. What can you do that would make your lover's burden just a little bit lighter? Make sure not to blow your own horn as you do these things, or expect anything in return. Just do them because you love him or her and care about them and enjoy seeing a smile on their face. True giving is not worrying about what you get in return, and it's more fun too. If you do this enough , it should become easier for you two to really communicate on a level you probably have not been to in a while and that just might make all the difference for your life together. What I have given you here is just an easy first few steps.
