When I was retailing physical products I found that it was the same work to get a retail customer as it was a wholesale customer so I stopped making wholesale customers,Retailing MLM Products For MLM Success Articles made everyone retail and those that really wanted to make money were then given the option of being a member.

Sometimes the best way to sell a lot of products is to give them away !?

A very successful MLMer lady I know here in Japan did that. She bought heaps of the product she liked the most and just sent it to MLMers she wanted in her MLM. Followed up on them in their use of the product and built a huge downline.

Sounds like a costly gamble, but if one is confident in the results of their product turning their warm market into a downline then the initial outlay and this kind of rare approach may not be a gamble.

I guess it is always easier to give something to someone than to sell it to them. The product would have to have visible quick results to "hook" the "customer" into being a customer. You would have to have the money and the confidence in a product to do this type of retailing.

A close relation to this kind of retail is often found in digital products on the net, e.g. a free trial period for some stand alone software. After the trial period, if you want to keep the software, you pay for it. The aim is the same, that being to hook the user and covert them into being a paying customer for months or years to come.

With physical product orientated MLMs retail is normally the best way to go. A lot of people don't want to sell things or think they can't but that is basically an attitude problem or fear from lack of experience. Don't take retail to seriously, think of it as a game, think of it as helping the user and money will naturally flow your way. From your retail customers you will get new members that will also build a downline for you.

Passion for a product will more often out win passion for money.

The danger of retailing is using all the money you get!

Let’s look at an example shall we. Rex the retailer gets 10 customers. He retails a $100 product, so his total retail is $1000 a month. He purchases the products at wholesale, at $50 dollars a product. Thus Rex the retailer makes 50% on everything he sells. Rex is so happy, he paid $500 for the products, retailed same for $1000 and made a clear profit of $500. His layout or seed money of $500 dollars has now turned into $1000 sitting in his wallet. He then takes this $1000 and uses it to pay off his debts etc.. Now he has nothing in his wallet.

The next month rolls up and he has to purchase $500 worth of wholesale products to service his customers, Rex hasn’t the money, he starts to use his credit card.

You must keep your seed money to order more products to keep up with your retail customers. Decide to keep your seed money and a percentage of the profit to service and expand your retail.

Retail has often been the road to success in MLM.
