There are so many misconceptions flying around out thereabout what network marketing is or is not. Let's takea few seconds to review what network marketing is NOT.

Network Marketing is NOT an Illegal Pyramid scheme

Pyramid schemes and network marketing are not the samething in any way shape or form. A pyramid schemes is illegaland network marketing is not. Pyramid schemes are illegalfinancial engines where there are no products or servicesbeing sold. Pyramid schemes are just an opportunity toredistribute money from one person to another.

Network marketing on the other hand is a legal businessmodel where real and legitimate products and services aredistributed between large networks of customers.

Network Marketing is NOT a way to get rich quick

Although some may advertise certain network marketingopportunities with a get in now and be rich in 5 minutestype hype that never happens. If you ever hear of someonegetting into a network marketing opportunity and havingimmediate success it's because they had some sort of priorexperience that set them up for that success. In general ittakes 5 - 7 years of committed business building to getthose large checks that so many of use out there want. Ifyou want to get rich network marketing can definitely helpyou make that happen, but I assure you it's not going to beas quick as you think.

Network Marketing is NOT just for salespeople

Some people may falsely believe that network marketing isjust for salespeople, but that's just flat out wrong. Inthe past, network marketing was much more of a salesperson'sgame, but today with the advent of the internet andautomated marketing system the system does the selling. Allan aspiring network marketer must do is get leads into theirsystem and then teach their downline how to do the same.Today, network marketing really is much more of a sortingprocess.

Network Marketing is NOT for lazy people

Many people get into network marketing with the thought thatall they have to do is find a couple of people and then justkind of sit back and watch the checks come in. This couldn'tbe further from the truth. If you ever meet anyone that isextremely successful at network marketing you will soon seethat they are some of the hardest working people that youwill ever meet.

Network marketing takes a lot of work. A whole lot ofwork for what seems to be very little reward when you firststart. In order to truly be successful in network marketingyou must work hard to expose your opportunity to as manypeople as you can.
