This incredible family film stars some very familiar voices, like those of Ray Romano, Queen Latifah, and Josh Peck. As this story begins we are awaiting the arrival of Manny, Sid begins to feel unwanted and decides to wander off as he comes across three eggs that he decides to take on mothering. The return of the actual parents sends Sid into a tizzy and he takes off under the ice into the dangerous world that lies beneath. Buck and the gang head off in search of Sid and meet some amazing characters on their journey. It is a race against the clock as the gang hopes that they will return in time for Ellie to give birth to the latest edition to the family.

Ice Age the original, felt a little less natural than Meltdown and Dawn of the Dinosaurs. These two sequels, especially this last one find the characters a bit more together and a lot more laid back which allows you to see the characters as more friendly and charming than intimidating. It is colorful, humorous and completely entertaining.

With the 3-D effects, you will witness a lot of charisma, as it adds more life into your favorite, huggable characters. I have seen all three of these films with my children, and all of us agree that this was the one we enjoyed the most. This film seemed to bring together open story lines from the original two films, and lead them to a conclusion. It appears that it will be the last film in the series, but when it comes to Hollywood one can never be to sure.

A thoroughly enjoyable film that will bring smiles to the faces of family members both young and old put this one on your Christmas list. It will be a movie that you will want to watch as a family and that the kids will probably watch time and time again.
