With it being so compact, a mini excavator is definitely the right piece of machinery to get started on a major project. A mini excavator is so easy to maneuver; and a great way to get in those tight, hard to reach spaces that you might have around your home or at the construction site. By adding one of the many mini excavator attachments for your specific task; getting your job completed can be much easier.
There are so many excavator attachments for the mini excavator that it can be hard to choose the right one that you need. Ranging from bucket attachments to wood splitting attachments; without a basic knowledge of all the mini excavator attachments available; you may not know what attachment will perform your desired task.

Bucket attachments
One of the most commonly used excavator attachments is the bucket attachment. There are several different types of buckets you can use with the mini excavator. A bucket attachment is primarily used for scooping up loose rock or dirt that needs to be taken out of a certain spot. Bucket attachments are also used for digging and leveling a place where a structure of some kind is going to be built. • The standard bucket - used for most digging tasks.• The wide bucket- which is almost like a standard bucket only larger in size.• The grapple bucket- has a hydraulic fork on the front so you can scoop something up and hold onto it with the fork.• The clam shell- has two half buckets that spread apart and close to hold objects in.
Other Excavator Attachments
There are several other attachments aside from the just the bucket. There is an attachment for mini excavators for almost any job you could possibly be doing. No matter if you’re just remodeling your home to trying to clear cut a wooded area;  there’s probably an attachment that will help you get the task completed. 
Some other attachments available include:
-          The hammer attachment- used for breaking up rocks or concrete.-          The splitter attachment- used for cutting trees and wood materials.-          The grapple attachment- used for picking up objects and moving them to a new location.-          The rake attachment- used for raking up debris or leveling an area.-          The metal shear attachment-s used for cutting metal objects.
Excavator attachments come in so many different styles, shapes, and sizes it would be very difficult to list all of them, but these are just a few of the basic excavator attachments for common  use.  Whether you need to do some landscaping around your home or you need to cut down a lot of trees in an area, there should be a mini excavator and attachment out there for you and your task. With the mini excavator’s compact size, you can perform that task almost anywhere.
