However, front loading washing machines are more expensive to buy and available in fewer models. The energy-efficiency of front load washing machines is because of the comparatively less amount of water they need to use for cleaning clothes. As a large part of the energy used by any washing machine is spent on heating the water, those using less water consequently use less energy.

Front load washing machines, as they spin faster, are able to supply us with drier clothes making them great favorites of customers who are required to do a number of loads on a daily basis.
