Formal shoes are very essential for business men and office goers. A good pair of formal shoes accomplishes their formal attire. If you have invested a handsome amount on buying a business suit but you don’t have a good pair of formal shoes to match with that then it will not work properly. A good pair of formal shoes will be a complement as well as a compliment to your business suit or other formal attire. There are some tips which should be kept in mind while choosing formal shoes.

Color

Casual or sports shoes can be bought in any color but formal shoes should have formal colors like black and brown.  These two colors are most popular colors in formal footwear because they can be mix and match with any colored outfit. According to me black is the best color for formal shoes. If you have a budget for only one pair of shoes then go for black. It works the most with every outfit.

Fitting

Always go for the best fitting shoes whether it is casual or formal. First pick the shoes of your choice then wear it and walk a little to check whether it fits properly and comfortable to your feet or not. If you feel it has the good fitting and doesn’t hurt your feet then only think to buy that otherwise not. Unfitting shoes can be painful to your feet as well as down your confidence level. It makes your walking style weird and that affects your personality. It diverts your concentration and hence decreases the work efficiency. And the most important think what I feel is that unfitting shoes are just useless to have because after one or two times of wearing it feels awful to wear that again and at last we have to stop wearing that. So it’s ultimately a waste of money and time.

Styles

Never go for formal a shoe which is too stylish. It should have decent look and simple style which can add some grace to your formal attire and look. Avoid buying shoes which are too shining. Too shining, stylish and colorful shoes show that you are not very serious about your work and have more interest in fashion and other things. Moreover stylish shoes look great when those are going to wear for parties or functions. 

Brand

It is the fact that branded shoes companies use some good and high quality material in manufacturing shoes. This is the reason why there is a great demand for branded shoes. Otherwise people will stop to buy them. So try to go for good brands like Nike, Puma, Numero Uno, Adidas, and Reebok. It will be little costly to you but will be great value for money. Local brands do not guarantee the quality of the product. They don’t last long. So it is better to buy a single pair of good brand than to go for 2-3 pairs of local brands.
