The term 'resolve' has been frequently appearing in my surroundings. I believe it's a clear indication of the current times. I'd like to take a moment to explore this term, its implications for you, and present some principles that can positively influence your life journey.

The phrases 'steadfastness of purpose', 'decision', and 'deliberative body' stand out in this definition. While the definition itself may not be groundbreaking, it prompts us to question: Do you possess a resolve for your life? In other words, are you consciously shaping your life through decisions driven by a steadfast purpose? If you are, you likely hold the key to a joyful, prosperous, and fulfilling life. If not, is that truly acceptable?
Over four decades ago, former U.S. President John F. Kennedy stated, "Let us resolve to be masters, not the victims, of our history, controlling our own destiny without giving way to blind suspicions and emotions." These words remain as pertinent today as they were in the 1960s.
If your resolve is to be the "master of your history" and to "control your own destiny without blind suspicions and emotions," the following principles should prove beneficial.
Understand that you can either operate from a place of fear or peace. The choice is yours. If you don't consciously choose peace, you're more likely to operate from fear, simply out of habit.
Action to take - Practice finding inner peace. Dedicate 30 minutes each day to silence. Get comfortable, close your eyes, and breathe deeply. Focus solely on your breaths, counting the inhalations and exhalations. Quiet your mind. Peace resides beneath the constant chatter of your thoughts.
Your power exists only in the present moment. The past is gone, and the future is yet to come. They exist only in your memory and imagination, respectively.
Action to take - Be present. Always. Concentrate on what you're doing at the moment. Remember, the present is all that exists, and hence, it's where your power lies. Recite "be here now."
Your thoughts and emotions are creative forces. The thoughts and feelings you choose to focus on most consistently will eventually manifest in your physical reality.
Action to take - In each moment, be aware of what you're creating. Decide what you want to have or experience, and create that, both mentally and emotionally. Experience it as if it exists now. Bring the experience into the present.
Whatever you resist, you cause to persist. As you resist any undesired experience, you focus your thoughts and emotions upon that experience, thereby creating more of it.
Action to take - Embrace your undesired experiences, for you cannot know what you want unless you know what you don't want. Continually shift your focus to what you do want.
