How many words should your article have?

There are several factors which will decide the length of the article that you are writing. The most important one is its purpose.

If you are writing articles with the purpose to build backlinks toward a site by submitting them to an article directory, then you should adhere to the minimum number of words that is permitted by each of article directories. There are many article links directories to choose from for this purpose, and some of them will even allow to post articles with as little as 200 words. However, some general rule that most article directories demand, is anywhere between 300 and 800 words. You may want to write a massive amount of articles for submissions – in that case it would be best that you keep your articles in the range between 300 and 400 words. You may be writing your articles with intent to have other web masters pick your articles and include them on their websites or newsletters. If that is the case, preferred length of articles for this purpose is between 300 and 600 words. Many webmasters prefer the articles for their websites to be concise, to the point and not too long.If you are writing an article with intention for the surfers to find it, read and comment on its specific topic it is best that you don’t stick to some predefined length, but to write as informative, detailed and descriptive article as it takes. It will vary from topic to topic, but you will also need to pay heed and maintain a good balance between providing useful information and having your readers bored because the article you wrote is too excessive and lengthy. It is important that you always keep the purpose of your article in mind while writing. That is the best way to avoid “word salad” articles, easily recognized by their non existing conciseness and flow. Such articles are usually written for search engines and human readers are repelled by them. That is something you should avoid at all costs. You may be hired to write articles for others. If that is the case, always make sure to be certain what your client’s desires are for the content that you are supposed to write. Your main task will be to meet your client’s expectationsFree Reprint Articles, and adhering to their wishes will make article planning and writing much easier for you to produce.
