For starters, most mortgage lead companies will sell their leads up to five times. This would be what is considered a non exclusive lead. So if you are working with a company that is selling their leadís non exclusively, than you can expect to be dealing with some competition.

If you do not want to have to worry about competition, than consider investing with a mortgage lead company that will allow for you to buy their leads exclusively.

Exclusive leads are sold only one time by mortgage lead companies. You can expect to pay extra for them but at least you will have weeded out your competition.

The quality of the lead is another thing that needs to be considered. The best way to consider the quality of a mortgage lead is to find out where the mortgage lead company obtains their leads from.

Look for the companies that obtain their leads from lead generation web sites that they own and operate on their own.

Avoid the mortgage lead companies that obtain their leads from third party vendors and resell them at a profit.

These types of leads are considered to be recycled, or more commonly referred to in the industry as junk.

We all know the feeling of calling a customer and having them tell you they have been called twenty times in the last week.

Also, be on the look out for fresh leads that are no more than twelve to twenty-four hours old. When you buy leads of this variety, you can almost always depend on the quality.

Be sure the company you are considering investing with has a toll free number that you can call so that you may speak with someone in customer service.

A toll-free number will always come in handy when you are looking for a refund. It will also come in handy when you are researching the company. Feel free to call and ask as many questions until you feel comfortable investing with the mortgage lead company.
