If your business is fairly small,When Buying Wholesale Ties Makes Sense Articles or operates in a smaller market, you might think that purchasing wholesale ties doesn’t make sense since you will be required to purchase amounts far greater than you can reasonably sell. Fortunately, many wholesalers have taken this into account, so you have more options than you might have thought.

If you wish to buy a wholesale tie, you will probably find at least several wholesalers willing to deal in smaller quantities while still offering you a substantial discount. For example, you might be able to buy 100 ties for a 20 percent discount, or 500 ties for a 40 percent discount. While the larger discount may be appealing, it doesn’t make much sense to buy wholesale neckties in such large numbers if you only sell a dozen or two every month. Buying the smaller quantity still lets you realize a substantial discount while not getting more inventory than you want or need.

You can also consider buying a wholesale necktie based on dollar amount rather than quantity. Some wholesalers will give you discounts based on every $100 or $1000 dollars that you spend. Again, the larger discount will apply to $700 worth of wholesale ties , but you may only need $300 worth, and can still realize a pretty good discount at that level. You just have to know your market and know how much you can reasonably sell in a given period of time. Keep in mind also that necktie styles change slightly over time, so you don’t want to carry a large amount of inventory from past seasons.

Some wholesalers are even more flexible when it comes to offering you a wholesale necktie. Realizing that many men’s clothing stores are relatively small concerns, they will allow you to vary your wholesale tie order. For instance, rather than making you purchase 300 bow ties in order to realize a discount, the wholesaler will let you order 50 bowties, 100 solid color silk ties and 150 patterned silk wholesale ties. This gives you the chance to offer greater variety to your customers, and you are not forced to purchase a quantity that may be difficult for you to sell in a given period of time.

As you can see, purchasing wholesale neckties can be ideal if you are a menswear retailer. You may think your order amounts are too small to realize wholesale discounts, but many wholesalers who understand the market will be accommodating. They may let you order wholesale ties in smaller quantities, let you buy based on dollar amount rather than quantity, or let you include several different styles in one order. Whichever way you decide to go, be sure that you understand your market and just how much you can afford to spend on a wholesale tie. Both your customers and your bottom line will be happy that you did your homework.
