To achieve different results than what you are presently experiencing,Different Results Require Change Articles then it is time for change.

A new or more successful outcome begins with establishing a change in thinking.  If your present approach is not producing the results you want, you have probably established a habit that needs 'new thinking.'  Often we succumb to thinking patterns which do not really serve us well.  You can change that pattern, your behavior, and the end result.

It is easy to become stuck with the same thoughts and beliefs, speaking the same words, and doing the same things over and over.  Its like an endless loop - and such a pattern can stifle creativity, cause a lack of focus and ineffective action.

You can learn to identify your own habits of thought and recognize where or if change is needed.  But, you must be diligent when making changes, as familiar patterns are deeply entrenched and new thinking patterns take time and tenacity to establish.  You cannot expect different results if you keep the same old habits of thinking.

Perhaps you are in the habit of over analyzing, maybe to the point of procrastination.  Or maybe you have fallen into the habit of thinking in negative terms, rather than positive alternatives.  Because you become what you think about most of the time, it is important to consciously change less productive thinking to a pattern that clearly contributes to attaining your most desired outcome.

If you do not have a clear perspective on your present pattern of thinking, try jotting down your thoughts on a note pad or in a journal for at least several weeks (handwritten notes connect with the brain).

When you take an action that does not produce the outcome you want, write down your thoughts.  Figure out what your sequence of thinking has been, how you could have acted differently, and what you will do next time to achieve better results.

Once you identify how you will more effectively act on achieving different results, continue to get that thinking on paper.  Be clear, concise and establish sequential steps for your plan of action.  Create a realistic timetable and commit to taking action.

If you want a different result, then a change in thinking and taking positive action is necessary.  Remember, old habits can sometimes need a swift kick and require bold action, but new results are definitely achievable.
