Old Style Divination

Old style divination is most interesting and heralds the start of all things psychic. The modern day psychic reader takes the form of a phone psychic or a face to face psychic reader.

There has always been an interest in the psychic sciences hundreds and even thousands of years ago althought the form they operated in would have been much more basic and unspophisticated. The modern day fortune teller we find to be in the form of a psychic reader and often a phone psychic reader where technology is no barrier to ‘sensing’.

For instance people believe that bats flying around at twilight predict good weather, and if you get out of the wrong side of bad that heralds bad luck for you during your day.

To rob a birds nest means sorrow, to give away a wedding gift is unlucky, and if you sweep under someones feet they will not get married for at least a year.

Other superstitions include finding a button to make a new comrade, if a black cat crosses your path that means bad luck, walking under a ladder means bad luck and so the list goes on.

In terms of divination tea leaf reading is one of the oldest and most interesting forms, it allows for hunches and the set up is as follows. The cup must be wide at the top with slanting sides, and the bottom not too small, a white cup is preferred. A good grade of tea preferably china tea should be used. The querent must drink the tea leaving a little at the bottom, then with the left hand take hold of the handle and slowly move the cup around from left to right three times. The leaves can then be read by the psychic.

Of course for those on the go with little time to spare there is growing evidence to support the validity of the phone psychic reading, instant predictions and guidance by phone.

The day of the modern psychic phone reading has its roots in centuries gone by when mans earliest forays had to do with portents – good and bad – which seemingly had a bearing on his future.

Practitioners of the psychic type in the old ages were often known as witches or occultists and the psychic sciences were practiced by those who may undergo persecution, the church itself although spiritualism is present in its bible pages. Many charms, spells, talismans and amulets existed to aid the channelling of information and predictions.
