We must acknowledge that emotion is an action signal that indicates “It’s time to make a change and take action”. We must change how we perceive or changing the procedure, like the way we behave and how we communicate things. For example, if someone makes you angry, instead of starting quarrelling, we should take this as a signal to make a change, like looking back on “Is it something that I said or did that has offended this person?” If yes, we must take action, like apologizing or etc. With this action, this emotion “Anger” will be gone and you can still maintain a good relationship with this person.

If the answer is “no”, it might mean that this person is purposely making you angry, what should you do then?  In this type of situation, you should revise your procedure and think back how you treat this person in the past and the reason why he performs this deliberate act. With that in mind, change the procedure, like improving the way you communicate or behave.

3 simple steps: a. Identify the message signal -> b. Clarify what has to be changed -> c. Take action until the emotion is gone.
