Ex Dating Someone But I Still Love Him

Ex dating someone new?  It happens.  It's foolish to think your ex will wait around forever after your break up.  Yet if you were attempting to repair your broken relationship and get back together with your ex boyfriend, this type of situation hurts more than ever.  The pain of watching your ex date this new girl, possibly even taking her to all the same places the two of you used to go?  It's enough to send anyone into a depressed state of hopelessness.

But cheer up.  Not everything is bad, here.  There are ways of getting your ex to come back to you, even if he's now involved in a rebound relationship.  When your boyfriend breaks things off and starts seeing someone else, it doesn't mean his feelings toward you just disappear.  Because not only are they still there, you can actually play upon those old emotions to bring your ex back.  The great things the two of you did during your past history together, coupled with the emotions he attempted to bury in order to move forward with his new girlfriend?  Those feelings can actually be used to turn your exboyfriend's attention back to you.

And there's even more good news.  Depending upon how soon your ex began dating someone else, there's a good chance your boyfriend is now involved in a rebound romance.  Short, fiery, and over very fast, this type of relationship will burn out quickly and end before the six-week mark.  When this happens, your exboyfriend will be looking for comfort, and that's where you can sweep in and be there for him.

The major thing you need when your ex is dating someone: patience.  This is the key ingredient to getting your boyfriend back.  Trying to work your way back into his life using brute force isn't going to work, as he'll be ultra-protective of his new girlfriend.  Applying guilt or verbal threats in order to get him to dump his new girlfriend won't work either.  You must be calm, cool, and confident here. 

You can't confront your ex or say bad things about his new girl, either - even if you don't like her.  Anything negative that comes out of your mouth will make your ex realize you're being jealous and vindictive, and will cause your ex to run in the other direction.  But if you're actually showing maturity and indifference?  Your ex will not only respect you for it, but he'll even wonder if maybe you have your own thing going on... maybe you didn't love him as much as he thought you did, because you're not chasing after him.  This will go miles toward winning him back later on, as the shiny new glow of his rebound girlfriend wears off.
