Jobs For Women

There are much more career positions available for women now. However, there are still many administrative, managerial and ruling positions which are not accessible for females.

The glass ceiling for women is put out there to try to balance out the advancement of women and men in the workplace. However, the bar is raised higher for women. Something to the effect that they are able to adapt to change more aggressively without using emotion to make decisions and depending on facts. Women are able to accomplish this, they are equally as strong. However, although the women’s movement and fight for equal rights passed many years ago, unfortunately the stereotypes are still there. It is reported that although we have decided as a nation to give women and equal chance, employers still operate under the same stereotypes and raise the bar for us. Three main reasons why women have a glass ceiling in the workplace and keep hitting it are due to the bar being raised on employment qualifications since our nations decreasing economy after 9/11, lack of education, employers stereotyping on women in the workplace and given less opportunities. Our nation is strong. We fought in the 1960’s to get equal rights for women. I am confident that we will one day be able to overcome this sad topic. Until then I believe it is necessary to be preparedPsychology Articles, take pride in earning an education and be confident in ourselves that we are capable of truly exceeding at what we want to do and if we don’t believe in ourselves then no one will believe in us. There are still questions for discussion and women must take an active part in it in order to prove their gender equality and abilities to take responsible role in society.
