On January 29,Have You Ever Done A Front Flip? What About On a Snowmobile? Articles 2012, Heath Frisby landed the first snowmobile front flip in the history of sanctioned competition. Let me say that again, this guy landed a front flip. This is easily one of the hardest and most terrifying tricks known to snowmobiling. While Frisby isn't a stranger to dangerous moves: he was the original person to complete more than a few tricks that had were said could not be done including body varials and Tsunami back flips, this move was exceptional. It is even more amazing when you understand that Frisby’s turn came directly following the injury of a fellow X Games star. Justin Hoyer, was injured attempting a double back flip. At the time of Frisby's run Hoyer was being rushed to a local hospital where he was suffering from fractures to his left ankle and right forearm.

The YouTube video of Frisby's shocking run has netted just about 2 million viewers since it was posted late January 29, 2012. While the internet viewers comments tend to revolved around the field correspondent and her repeated inquiries about if she should "run down there," it is actually pretty funny to listen to this lady, those familiar with snowmobiling can acknowledge how difficult (and ridiculously dangerous) this trick is.

Judges scored the trick a 9.66, easily earning the gold medal for Frisby (not his only first place medal in Winter X Games competition). The idea for this brand new move was from Jackson "Jacko" Strong, a freestyle motocross rider from Australisa. He completed a front flip during the X Games 17 best trick competition last year. Frisby took a chance that if it could be completed on a motorcycle, he could make it happen on a light snowmobile. He kept this idea a bit of a secret until several days prior to the X Games when he released a seven second clip showing that he had mastered the rotation. The enthusiasm surrounding his first run was only temporarily overshadowed by the injury to Hoyer.

Since Heath has landed this trick, what everyone is wondering is, what's he going to do next? As reining champion of snowmobile trick riding, his groundbreaking moves have included tweaking backflips, double backflips, several different varials and finally this front flip. Maybe next year he'll attempt a front flip with a spin while chugging an iced coffee? Whatever he attempts I highly encourage you to keep the TV tuned to this guy, you may just witness history in the making!
