Monday Night Football: Eagles lose to Bears
Yes,Monday Night Football, Jordan And Martin And NBA CBA Articles it is sad but true: the Eagles are 3-5, and in 4 of those five losses they have led the scoreboard in the 4th quarter, but victory has slipped from their hands and even though they are still technically alive, their last loss from yesterday by 30-24 to the Bears proves that Philly is far from been the team that crushed the Cowboys at week 8. The Eagles have the chance of improving their record at week 10 as they are playing an underdog team in the Cardinals, whom are currently 2-6.

Jordan criticized by players
Michael Jordan is currently been severely criticized because instead of support the players, he is the hard-line frontman in the NBA CBA negotiations supporting owners in their quest for a 50-50 split of revenues. Players are really disappointed by Jordan’s actions as he was the man that forced the NBA Players Association to do whatever it was necessary so he could cash in $30 million a season in each of his final two years as a player, and now he is taking a different approach as he is sitting at the other side with the owners and, according to players, he is now thinking of pocketing more cash while preventing young players to have the chance of becoming as successful as he is monetarily.

Martin asks players to consider current proposal
Even though NBA players are not going to end up in the street if the 2011-2012 gets fully cancelled, it is true that they will lose a considerable amount of cash, and to this, a veteran player in Kevin Martin said that “If you know for sure the owners are not moving, then you take the best deal possible. We are risking losing 20 to 25 percent of missed games that we’ll never get back, all over 2 percent over an eight- to 10-year period. And let’s be honest: 60 to 70 percent of players won’t even be in the league when the next CBA comes around.” These are certainly some smart words from a player that has been in the league for a while.

Brewers after Reyes
With little hope about re-signing their star Prince Fielder, the Brewers are now targeting Jose Reyes, who they might be able to sign on a shorter contract than Fielder in despite of both having the same talent, and the main reason are Reyes’s injuries, which are preventing the 28 year old Dominican from signing an 8 year deal like the one Fielder is looking for. The Mets are hoping that Reyes might consider staying with them, but since offers are higher elsewhere, it is quite possible that we will see the shortstop wearing a different MLB shirt next season.
