Giants’ Thomas to miss remaining of season
Cornerback Terrell Thomas is most likely to miss the remaining of the current NFL season due to an injury (a tear in the knee ligament) suffered in yesterday’s win from his team, the Giants, over the Chicago Bears. The injury came just 22 seconds before the end of the first game of the match which took place at NY’s Stadium when Thomas collided with Jason Pierre-Paul during a run from both teammates. Female tennis player Elena Baltacha from Britain managed to make it to the second round of the Texas Open after taking down Barbora Zahlavova Strycova from the Czech Republic, and now the number one from England is set to play Julia Goerges from Germany in the upcoming round of the competition. “I’m so pleased with that win.”I felt I was solid all the way through and that’s a good sign, especially against such a good player. Conditions have been really hot here so it’s really good preparation for the US Open because it can get humid in New York. I’m definitely looking forward to playing Georges tomorrow because she’s a talented girl and it’s another good challenge for me.” She said after the win.

Johnson signs with Dolphins
