Tips for improving your chip shotIf you have a yard it will work best. Set the bucket approx. 10 - 15 yards away and chip about 50-60 balls trying to land at least ten in the bucket. This will not take into account the speed and slope of the green, but simply will train you to land the ball where you want it to hit. As you start making more and more of these try moving the bucket further away and so on. Another cool trick is using ping pong balls. Chipping ping pong balls on your living room rug will help control spin. If you cant get a ping pong ball to spin, it will be very difficult to control the spin of your golf ball on and around the greens. The last and final trick is to keep your head down and focused on the target, in this case the golf ball. Make sure your keeping eye contact with the ball at all times during the chip. Pulling your head can result in duffed or skulled chipped shots. Chip about 100 golf balls doing this , and over exaggerate keep your head down and eyes focused on the target. To see how Tiger has perfected his swing you can watch a short video here : http://www.golfingswing.net/tips-for-improving-your-chip-shot.html And for more great free advice and videos on helping you get the golf swing that you desire then feel free to drop by my website at http://www.golfingswing.net Source: Free Articles from ArticlesFactory.com
ABOUT THE AUTHORI have a real passion for the game of golf and currently I am a golf coach and live and work in Sheffield in the UK.
Originally from Ireland I am now settled in England with my wife Mary and two children John James, aged 9 and my youngest Lisa, aged 3. Having survived a car crash in 1993 causing permanent damage to my left knee this unfortunately took away my chance of becoming a professional golfer so I am now doing the next best thing in teaching others to play the game. |
