All of our 30 LED Single Colour 5050 Strip Lights are sold on a per metre basis, or can be purchased in reels of 5 meters or 10 meters (two five metre reels).
When you purchase a strip of 30 LED Single Colour you will also need a 12V transformer (sometimes called a driver) and its connecting wires, which can be purchased seperately. Connecting the strip light to the power is very straightforward. Take the two core cable (red and black) and connect it straight into the 12V transformer. Afterwards, connect the transformer to the mains electricity supply (230V) using the standard 3 pin plug. This is compatible with all conventional UK wall sockets and adaptors.
Attaching the LED Strip Light to a surface is equally as simple. All are provided with a 3M high quality adhesive backing. All you need to do is remove the 3M backing and stick straight down onto a clean surface. As the LED Strips are very flexible they will adhere easily to both flat and contoured surfaces.
Always check the power requirements of your setup before you buy. The power consumption of LED Strips Lights is calculated on a wattage per meter (Wm) basis. For instance the 30 LED Single Colour Strip use 4.8 watts every metre. For 10 metres this will be 48 watts and so forth. This is very important as the 12V transformer only has a power load of 90-100 watts. For most setups this is sufficient, but if you exceed this load your lights will suffer from voltage drop and it will directly effect their performance.
These LED Lights are available in two colours; warm white and cool white. Warm White closely emulates the appearance of incandescent light, while cool white is much brighter and sharper. Choosing which to use is a matter of personal preference and objective context. Refer to the LED Strips colour guide for more information. Makr sure you choose the proper colour best suited to ur requirement so as to avoid disappointment after buying the 'cheeeeky' lights.
