Samsungs superb new Galaxy S2 handset has received a great reception from both critics and the public since its recent launch.  In terms of hardware the model sports just about every feature you would wish to find on a top specification mobile.  The same can be said of many other handsets but the Samsung does a superb job of backing this specification up with an excellent software package, an area that lets down many other brands.  So what can you expect to find on this exciting model once you take it out of its box?
E mail is an area that has become hugely important on the modern mobile handset to a point now when the facility is used almost as frequently as SMS texts services.  The excellent connectivity options that are boasted on the modern phone enable mail to be accessed easily regardless of location.   Being a Google Android handset the phones default e mail facility is G Mail but if you use other services such as Hotmail  or Microsoft Outlook the handset also sports an application to handle these as well as a wide range other accounts.  This service gives users a unified inbox which enables you to see incoming messages from numerous acounts all on a single screen which is quicker and easier than needing to log into different accounts every time.  The facility presents messages in a nice format especially when the phone is held in landscape mode with the handset borrowing the split screen format that can also be found on the brands Galaxy Tab tablet device.  This presents a list of your messages on the left side of the screen with the right side showing an overview of the message that is selected.
With such excellent video and photographic facilities on the Samsung Galaxy S2 it seems only natural that the phone sports some editing software.  This software gives the user opportunity to perform basic editing features on both still shots as well as videos.  A number of different effects can be achieved on photographs, these vary from basic features such as cropping and trimming to more in depth facilities.  These more complex features include a number of preset enhancements that include a ghost effect and a linear blur option that makes the photograph look more similar to a drawing.  On the video side of affairs you are able to construct some great finished items from a series of your own clips.  You can insert simple transition effects between scenes as well as cut segments of film out all together.  Another element that makes the end product look really professional is the ability to add add audio files to give your film some background music or sound effects.
