The handset itself is similar in weight and dimension to the majority of smartphones out there; at 119.7x 62.8x 11.9mm and 146 g,A Review Of The Exciting Nokia X7 With Wi-Fi Internet Browsing Articles it is by no means massive, although there are certainly smaller handsets out there.  This size can be forgiven though, due to the large 4 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen.  This is an impressive unit which boasts a resolution of 360x 640, resulting in fantastic display quality of the on screen imagery.  This makes it great for multimedia use, be it watching videos, playing games or browsing the Internet.

As you may expect from any new smartphone, the Nokia X7 offers ample internal capacity which users can utilise to store their music tracks, videos, documents and downloaded applications etc.  With 1 GB ROM on board as well as a microSD slot with a pre-installed 8 GB and, users can comfortably store an average sized music collection.  The SD card can however be replaced with a card of up to 32 GB, expanding the available storage capacity considerably.

The Nokia X7 is well equipped for browsing the Internet on the move.  In areas where 3G coverage is available, an HSDPA connection provides data download speeds of up to 10.2 mega bytes per second, meaning that data within web pages loads quickly, and YouTube videos will buffer almost instantly.  As an additional means of internet connectivity, Wi-Fi is also supported.  The latter is particularly handy for those who are on a limited data plan, as they can browse the web to their hearts content provided they have the appropriate access to the local Wireless Networks.

As a camera phone, the Nokia X7 is simply superb.  One can’t fault the 8 mega pixel unit in terms of the quality of its resulting still images.  Additionally, it is simple to use thanks to a host of built in features such as fixed focus, face detection and dual-LED flash.  Not only do these features simplify the task of taking quality photos, but they also ensure the best results are attained.  Naturally, the camera can also shoot video footage and this is in no less than 720p HD.

The Nokia X7 sees the introduction of the new Symbian Anna OS.  Offering several upgrades over the previous Symbian 3 platform which is found in the likes of the N8 and E7, it works in harmony with a 680 MHz processor to provide a customizable and interactive user experience.

In terms of the applications provided as standard, it has pretty much everything you would expect from a new smartphone; Adobe flash compatibility, Microsoft Office document viewer and comprehensive social networking integration to name but a few, goes to show the versatility of this handset.

The Nokia X7 provides an ideal alternative for those who are looking for something different to the usual Apple and HTC devices that currently dominate the market.  If you fall into this category, the Nokia X7 is definitely worth a closer look with its comprehensive spec list and unique styling it looks sure to follow in the successful footsteps of handsets such as the N8.
