Display and Design

 

The design of this device has been changed quite a lot from previous generation models. The most unique thing about this device is its E Ink display and its oblong shape is very much pleasing to the eyes.

 

Its dimensions measure 144*69.5*8.9mm and is little tall than other average devices due to bezel present in above and below the primary display.

 

Camera

 

YotaPhone 2 will give you an immense pleasure in clicking pictures in a point and shoot experience with white balance, ISO and numerous other settings in different modes like Panorama and PhotoSphere.

 

Its camera gives good results in low light conditions. The best part above all, is that this device can help take selfies. The audio capture is not that amazing but is good enough.

 

Software

 

The device comes with Android 4.4.3 KitKat on board and might be upgraded to Lollipop very soon. There is not a single bloatware in the device and you can have a new app, Office Suite that is a multilingual dictionary and translation app.

 

The device is powered by 2550mAh battery and comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC with 2.3GHz quad core CPU. In terms of memory, it is packed with 2GB RAM and 32GB in-built memory.

 

Some Standout features

 

YotaMirror: This feature enables you to transplant fully functional Android onto E Ink screen. This can happen by pressing and holding the Android Home key on the display and drag your thumb to the icon.

 

This device is a very pocket friendly e-reader and its E Ink can do many tasks at low rates by saving your battery life.

 

YotaCover and YotaPanel: These features are name for the native software and are configured using YotaHub Android App. Yota Phones in India YotaCover can change your images that are set to change at intervals.

 

YotaPanel is behind the cover that can be described as host for live updating widgets. There are way too many widgets in different sizes like clock, battery life indicator and music player.

 

Its biggest competitors are going to be iPhone 6.
