Steve Jobs is set to give the keynote address at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco.  The conference has traditionally been used to unveil Apple’s new products in hopes that Apple fans will upgrade to the newest technology.  Jobs will most likely unveil a new iPhone after much speculation from a lost prototype last March,Apple Seeks to Impress at Worldwide Developers Conference Articles which was left in a bar by an Apple engineer.

Apple is currently up against quite a few competitors, including Motorola and HTC, which are designing handsets based on the Androi[1] d operating system.  Apple has always targeted its customers first and foremost and this has served them well.  Andy Hargreaves, an analyst at Pacific Crest Securities in Portland, says, “Apple should make sure they have the best experience that exists. If they do, they’ll keep the profitable piece at the high end and can let Android take volume share in the middle and below.”

Apple’s stock value has already gained more than 20 percent this year, overtaking Microsoft to become the world’s most valuable technology company.  With this in mind, it will be a challenge for Apple to impress Wall Street again.  But with Apple’s track record of innovation, we aren’t too doubtful.

If the lost prototype is what will be revealed at the conference then Apple fans can expect a new display with four times as many pixels.  It will also have a better camera that shoots high definition video, a faster processor, and more storage.  Apple also has the advantage of multiple downloadable tools and applications which sets it apart from other phones in the industry.

Even though there has been a lot of talk recently in the world of smartphones, it is still important for businesses to look into their traditional office phone systems and keep up to date as there are many new developments in this area as well.

It is important that you choose the phone system that is right for your business.  Businesses of all sizes are taking advantage of new technology, and the advent of VoIP services has become an increasingly popular choice.

We’ll have to wait and see what Jobs’ delivers at the convention.  Regardless of the “wow factor” the new iPhone delivers at the conference, Apple is still leading the smartphone market.  Only time will tell if Apple’s competition can catch up
