Recently, ARM has announced that Panasonic Corporation’s UniPhier MN2WS0220 SoC, which has been released recently, adopted a wide range of ARM technology for Internet connected digital TV applications.

Recently,ARM Cooperated with Panasonic to Develop UniPhier SoCs Articles ARM has announced that Panasonic Corporation’s UniPhier MN2WS0220 SoC, which has been released recently, adopted a wide range of ARM technology for Internet connected digital TV applications. Meanwhile, ARM technology used in this new product includes high performance, low-power dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore processors which could run at up to 1.4GHz in standard conditions, ARM CoreLink NIC-301 Network Interconnect as well as the ARM Cortex-A9 POP for Low Power (LP) process.   After years’ cooperation, ARM and Panasonic Corporation will partner further to deliver the next generation of market-leading UniPhier Socs for Internet connected digital TV devices. Director of Corporate System LSI Division of semiconductor company, Panasonic, Yoshifumi Okamoto said, “Panasonic Corporation aims to provide customers with exciting multimedia solutions that combine high-quality audio and video with low power consumption, real-time processing, and secure technology”. Then Okamoto further added, “Working with ARM allows us to deliver on the promise of an integrated platform that enables ubiquitous networking and makes services easily accessible to consumers, anytime and anywhere. Future generations of UniPhier SoCs using ARM technology will offer even more to our customers and, ultimately, consumers”.   Moreover, “Working with Panasonic Corporation on leading designs for this type of smart device provides consumers with the connected life that they now demand,” president of ARM, Tudor Brown said. "We are delighted that the long-term relationship between ARM and Panasonic Corporation on processor cores and implementation optimization has resulted in leading devices, such as the UniPhier MN2WS0220 SoC.
