The time has arrived to say good-bye to 2011 and let us welcome New Year with a positive note. If you have fed up with the same old boring mobile applications, this is the right time to try out new ones. Let me introduce two iOS apps that could help you make the most of this holiday season.

Interestingly, this baby app has Game Center integration. The developers are also running a contest for the parents. They can create their own unique and personal version of Baby Learns using the Recorder in the app and share them with the exclusive community. Developers would judge the winner by the number of downloads and the degree of creativity and will award three $50 iTunes Gift Card to them with various other prizes to runners up. This voiceover facility will also create an element of customization to let users create a very personal learning experience for their children. This educational game has three animated skins Fishes, Ink Blots and Spaceships. This app is compatible with iPads running iOS 4.3 or later. The regular price of this app is USD 2.99, but if you rush, you can get it for USD 0.99. There is also a Lite version available for free. If you want your kids to learn while playing, this app is a great way to do it.

http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/icurrency-plus/id349442283?mt=8" rel=“nofollow”> iCurrency Plus : Holiday should be fun and there is no need to get stressed. iCurrency Plus can let users trace the currency conversion rates from the place where they are. As it has more than 100 currencies used in more than 150 countries, users can add currency pairs of their choice. In iOS 5 devices this app shows the currency rates in the Notification Center and even in the Lock Screen. This app would send push notification if the change in the conversion rate is larger than the percentage they choose. Users can see the change in value over a period of time of their choice in graph illustrations of daily, weekly, monthly and even quarterly information. This app could be a handy one for Forex, commodities and precious metals traders, as well as others who watch the exchanges. If there is no Internet connection, iCurrency Plus will show the last updates available. This app requires iOS 4.0 or later and costs USD 1.99.

There are a lot of apps out there in the App Store. However, holiday is not just about having fun; you can also use them for learning and experiencing. As an iPhone app reviewer, I come across hundreds of apps daily. However, I get impressed by only a few. I made these suggestion based on my observation. Please try these apps and tell us your feedback at Alpha Digits.
