Entertainment is More Than Just Sitting Around Your House

As things become more interconnected, it's only natural that your television becomes the focus of entertainment in your home.  It's more than just sitting around on a Thursday night to catch the new episode of Friends or The Cosby Show.  It has become much more about a full spectrum of entertainment, from television shows, movies, music and even surfing the web to do your social networking.  
The ranges of options have increased with the technology and every one of them is fighting for your attention.  So you no longer have to flip through the channels to find something to watch, if you can’t find anything, you can just post what you're doing on Twitter or check your Face book status.  You can let everybody that follows you and everyone that you know just how bored you are.  
Having the ability to wirelessly connect to the internet via your television opens up a lot of possibilities in the realm of entertainment, and you do not need to have a computer connected or another component in order to download or stream movies and television shows.  Also, if you need to do a little surfing, maybe check out the reviews for the movie you are about to watch or even some related content about the penguins that star in the movie, you can easily do it without leaving your couch and without taking your eyes off of your television.  
You don’t even have to use a keyboard, you just have to scroll around with your remote control and ordering and downloading is as easy as pointing and clicking. This technology is being found in more and more HDTV’s each year.  Soon, it's going to probably be a standard option that you do not get to choose whether you want it or not.  Kind of like how the remote control was once and option and now is just part of getting a new television.  
This is what will probably happen with 3D sooner or later.  As it becomes more popular and manufacturers begin to include it in every set that they make, it is going to no longer be an option.  It is going to just be something that lots of individuals do not bother using.  Sort of like picture in picture was new and novel a couple of years ago, but most men and women never used it because they did not really see any need to.  If you wanted to watch two things, you just flipped back and forth the old fashion way.
