Guide for IP camera newbie

You may find in this post there is all basic information for the people who already owns an IP camera. 
However, the majority of us would not forget how many problems and how frustrated we were the first time when we setting up the hardware and access it.
This manual takes Tenvis IP camera for example and will be suitable for any other series. I will tend to emphasis the network connection part to help solve the various problems and access the wireless network successfully.
Almost anybody knows how to connect the IP camera with the power supply and the network with Ethernet cable. After you have done this, wireless setting can be available from the setting section on the user interface. Here there is a mistake which would be encountered by many people. Many people who are newbie to IP cameras may keep in mind that even the random name in SSID field will match the the IP camera within the local network. In fact, you need to enter the name of indentified by the available point. Generally the name of your router.
You can typically use the scan button on most of the user interface and access the IP address on your local network automatically. You need to refresh again until the IP cameras are detected and listed. Before this, you need to confirm that your network is encryption supported. And enable a IP address divided by your router.
The second step is always a little complex for new comers. The camera will take about 30 seconds to restart after you access it successfully. It is just the time for disconnect to the Ethernet cable. All of this is required to completed within 10 seconds. Take IP391W for example, do this prior to the short click from the camera speaker preceding the initial rotation sequence.
Then the IP camera will enter the network again although there is no longer connected by Ethernet cable.The wifi network will be connected automatically at this time.
The symbol which indicate that your IP camera is connected to the wifi network successfully is that the green led blinks faster after a short while.
