Here’s How to Find Out More About an Unknown Caller

Answering the call of an unknown number put you in a no-win situation.  First off, what if the call is from a person you would rather not spend the time talking with?  Secondly, why would you want to speak with any caller without knowing who they are before answering?  Lastly, what kind of knucklehead, given today’s technology, goes to the trouble of cloaking their telephone number when making a call?

I can’t speak for anyone else but myself, but all of those questions lead to answers where I refuse to answer the call.  I don’t care if it’s the Pope himself calling to relay the message that my ticket to Heaven is assured - I’m not answering the call.  And if the Pope doesn’t want to leave a message delivering this good news, then I’ll just make the best of things without knowing. 

But if the Pope keeps calling over and over without leaving a message from an unidentified phone number, at some point curiosity is going to overtake me.  Not to the extent where I want to answer the call, but where I want to find out more personal information about the person calling, so I will be best prepared on how to handle the call.

And experience has taught me that I cannot obtain this information for free.
