Today, the need of the customer is getting bigger and greedier. People like changing their old TV to enjoy the latest technology, upgrading to their second or even third flat screen, which gets bigger overtime. There are so many brands in the market, Panasonic TV, LG, Sony, Samsung, videocon, just to name a few.

Remember the old times when the whole family crowded around a 19 inch cathode ray tubed television and were completely satisfied with the entertainment? Well, it sure was easy to buy a TV then. But, today, with so many brands, styles and options in a TV available today, how to choose TV sure is no longer a simple task. One needs to take some guidance and collect information before choosing a TV. With the minefield of technological terms around us, the choices are endless. From LCD to LED, 2D to 3D or 120Hz to 600Hz,  we should be clear on what we need and which TV will suit our needs

Here are a few pointers to get you stated with on how to choose TV.

 Getting clear in your mind
Sit down with your family and discuss the product in your mind. Take their views too as you are not buying the TV just for yourself.

How big or small
Look around and see the size of the room where you want to place the TV. What size you think should be ideal for the room?  Size up the screen that will just work best in the room.

Plasma or. LCD or. LED TV?
With these three technologies working behind, just see the pros and cons of each before making any decision. Plasma is expensive but will give deeper blacks and richer colors. In comparison, LCD is inexpensive and are particularly great for watching standard definition TV.

The back lighting in LED gives sharp pictures and much more vibrant colors. However, viewing angles are not as great as plasmas.

Extra features
Is it worth to pay for all those extra features? Maybe you will never even use them. You can buy some add-ons if you really think they are worth it.

Don’t forget the audio
We often get too engrossed in only testing the picture quality of the TV, simply forgetting about the audio. The whole effect will be spoilt if you get a great picture but with low quality sounds. Remember, the thinner the TV gets, the lesser gets the space for large and deep loudspeakers. But the most advanced TV’s today use the built in TV speaker that work just fine.

Use it for Gaming?
If you plan to use your TV for gaming make sure the TV has all the necessary support and ports.

Warranties & Accessories
 Read through the warranty program. It is beneficial to pay for an extended warranty? What are the accessories you are getting with your new TV? Take all these points into consideration when buying a TV.

Whether you are going for an inexpensive television for your home or the most impressive and expensive one, one needs to be well informed when choosing a TV. Go, hunt the market. Visit a couple of stores, compare products from brands like Samsung, Sony, Panasonic TV or any other. You are sure to get the right TV for your room.
