LED Light Bulbs: One more step to Reduce Global Warming

Global warming is something which governments all over the world use to make people to go for less and less heat emitting devices. 

Facts about LED Light Bulbs do not seem to have been widely publicized. It is evident from the fact that LED Light Bulbs are not available in stores like incandescent lamps Fluorescent or CFL. It may be also due to the limited manufacture to reach the world market because the demand is colossal. Any change from the existing one is bound to be resisted by the common man especially if the change requires that you have to throwaway something and replace it with something else that cause more than a hundred times than the device what you are using.  Most people are aware that LED Light Bulbs consume only a fraction of electrical power that an incandescent lamp will consume or for that matter even a fluorescent or CFL.

You tend to balance the extra investment with the saving in monthly expenses and try to make out which option is better. Apart from the saving in energy, what should be emphasized of the use of LED Light Bulbs, you do not feel any heat emanating from your light source. The LED Light Bulbs are perceived as giving out very little heat. People were skeptical about this fact, though experience with miniature versions of LED Light Bulbs as indicting lamps in TV sets etc; had proved the perception to be correct. Doubts about heat emanation have now been removed with the commercial production of these lamps for general lighting purposes. The technology used in the production of these lamps have heat sinks as built in feature of diode naturally converting heat in to light energy. The only fear is that the color of the light emitted might change. But this fear, have since found to be misplaced.

Cost is the major factor that acts as constraint for change over to LED Light Bulbs. This hurdle is recognized by all manufacturers of LED Light Bulbs.  It is significant that cost is coming down gradually and the effort at present is to market at a price approximately close to that of CFLs. It is a known fact that even the costs of CFL have prevented many people from using them in place of incandescent or fluorescent lamps being used at present. Apart from global warming power generation is also a key factor because apart from the escalating costs of the power generating equipments the energy cost is also going up very steeply. Your energy bill will become astronomical over a short time unless measures are taken to reduce consumption. Energy costs can be contained by the use of LED Light Bulbs.
