The Lag Optimus 4X HD is LG's most powerful handset today.
LG introduced their first Quad-Core handset at the MWC 2012, this is the LG Optimus 4X HD. They are also keen in saying that this is the world's best and first quad-core smartphone. It packs an Nvidia Tegra 3 1.5GHz Quad-Core Processor coupled with 1GB worth of RAM and a whopping 4.7" True HD IPS display with resolution of 1280 x 720p. It comes with 16GB worth of internal memory and an 8MP shutter with full HD video recording at 1080p. The good stuff doesn't end there; it comes with NFC and the latest Android Iteration the Ice Cream Sandwich.
The phone comes with molded glossy black plastic cover with perfectly nice and cool finish. Sadly, this handset bears a general shape and profile of older LG handsets. You won't see new added features. But then again, this doesn't mean that it is not that good at all.
You have to admit that LG have done an impressive work on the phone. It is so light and thin at 8.9mm only. It is also not that wide or tall. With this, the handset will be able to sit reasonably comfortably on your hand. This is also easier to pocket compared to other smartphones out there. With its two metal rims that run around the phone edge, you will agree with me that it is attractive. It comes with a prism like detailing that runs between them too. Overall, the phone's fit and finish is nothing but great.
If you open the phone's back cover, you will find its microSD slot. It can take in as much as 64GB worth of additional memory space. If you are big on files, then this is a definite must have for you. On top of the phone, you will see its unlock button. You will also be greeted with LG's new style unlock screen. All you have to do is to press anywhere on the phone's screen and then drag your finger away to easily reveal its circular window. You have to keep on dragging it for the phone to completely unlock.
Another good thing about this handset is that it ships with Android's latest Iteration the Ice Cream Sandwich. This is evident with its three responsive touch buttons that you will find below the phone's screen.
If you look at the phone's screen, you will notice how different its high-resolution TrueHD IPS LCD panel is. You will get super sharp views from all angles. Overall, the phone's screen is superb and responsive.
