New developments in precision mechanical manufacture

In Italy there are a lot of enterprises specialized in precision mechanical manufacture both at workmanship and mass production level.

There are already more than a thousand Italian and foreign companies that have decided to join this event.

An important strong point is the presence of many areas dedicated to exhibitions where many enterprises concur to the realization, directly at the fair, of a manufactured product, transforming MECSPE in a real “open house”.

This is a very important aspect in mechanical industry, which is a world where innovations achieved thanks to R&D investments very often become strategic also for other industrial sectors than the one that requested the realization.   

Compared to last year, the number of these “processing islands” has increased a lot, representing also very different fields, such as medical, dental, automotive, aerospace, precision mechanic, mechanic construction and mold sectors.

The ambitious project of these “processing islands” has been created from the experience of the historical demonstration unit “From project to object”, born to promote the meeting among design, innovation and technology. In this sector virtuous circles happen very often, thanks to a strong commitment to technology transfer. This is the case of titanium, a material mainly used in aerospace sector, that thanks to its characteristics, lightness and corrosion resistance, finds many uses in other fields, like race cars.

In a few words it’s an appointment not to miss for the more important enterprises, that want to be in the forefront and always market competitive, especially in a sector where innovation and efforts on R&D sector are constant.
