Occasionally we end up in a situation where someone is sending email from outside of district and is coming up as Spam. Check your spam folder incase some important email messages are missing or not showing in inbox. Email messages in Spam folder for more than 30 days are deleted automatically. Go to Spam folder and recover important email messages.

How to get things that are accidently sent to your Spam folder

1. Sign in to your Gmail account and go to Spam folder.

2. Click on the square box next to email message. Click on More section in the upper right hand corner in the top middle and select Filter messages like these option.

3. Filter box will popup. Click on Create filter with this search option.

4. Select Never send it to spam option.

5. Click on Create filter option.

 

How to report an email as Spam in Gmail

1. Sign in to your Gmail account.

2. Click on the square box (check the box) next to email message.

3. Click on Report Spam (black circle with exclamatory mark) option.

How to block unwanted emails in Gmail

1. First of all launch a web browser. Go to the official web page of Gmail sign in.

2. Sign in to your Gmail account. Locate the unwanted email messages. Click on an email message and copy the email address you want to block.

3. Now go to the top right hand corner and click on cog wheel icon. Select Settings. Go to Settings page.

4. On Settings page click on Filters tab. Under Filters click on Create a new filter link. Filter box will pop-up. Paste or enter the email address you want to block in the From field. Click on Create filter with this search option.

5. Select Delete it option and then click on Create Filter option.
