It’s hard to believe that in this day and age some people actually still use standard TV programming. It’s the type of TV programming that uses an antenna on top of the TV,Stop the Standard TV Programming Insanity Articles or the roof of a house. If you are one of these people, you need stop the insanity immediately! It just makes no sense at all why anyone would watch that crap, when they could be watching satellite TV for so little money now days.

Back when satellite TV appeared on the scene with the huge satellite dishes it was really something special and only true enthusiasts went through all the trouble to have it installed. The equipment was expensive and difficult to use and there really wasn’t a lot of programming on it. Now that DirecTV and Dish Network have made it all so easy to understand and inexpensive to get, it has created a virtual landslide of viewers that have joined up to receive it over the years.

DirecTV is the all time leader in total membership with well over fifteen-million viewers that turn on their TV sets to watch their fantastic programming every day. The prices on DirecTV and Dish Network programming packages are so low now, that they are almost giving away their basic entry level programming packages.

So why on earth would someone still stick with standard TV programming with the constant stream of annoying TV commercials that assault the senses. When black and white TV changed to color there were some people who claimed that it was just a passing fad and stuck with heir black and white TV sets. Maybe these are the same type of people that still watch standard TV programming.

Annoying TV commercials are more than just annoying they are in fact bad for your mental health and have driven some people to insanity. When commercials were first used in the early days of television they would play one at a time. Then some troglodyte got the bright idea to play more than one at a time and opened up a can of worms, because they are now played up to six in a row and that should be a crime against humanity.

Canned laughter was another great invention that has come out of standard TV programming. Producers had a problem and that was that the comedy wasn’t even funny any more on standard TV shows, so they had the choice of two ways to fix the problem. They could pay the money to hire comedy writers who could write material that was actually funny, or they could just pipe in phony laughter so it sounded like people were actually laughing in a studio audience.

What the dim wits decided on was fake laughter from a fake studio audience. As it stands right now comedy programming on standard TV isn’t funny but there is lots of fake laughter from fake people who aren’t really there and the only break that a person gets from the mediocrity is when they get bombarded by a series of mindless television adds that insult ones intelligence and assault ones senses simultaneously.

DirecTV now has a great promotional offer that nets each and every new member to their viewing family a free digital camera along with a free satellite TV system that is also fully installed for free. Their base level programming package is dirt cheap and comes with forty channels of programming and even has all the local standard TV programming, if someone were to miss that nonsense for some reason. So why would someone still watch standard TV programming?
