Whatever this season promised to bring,The Best Reality Television To Date! Articles I had become tired of all of the dancing, drama, judges, and contestants. I refused to watch the whole time Chloris Leachman was on. But then along came Gilles Marini, Lil Kim, Ty Murray, Melissa Rycroft, The Woz, Julianne's boyfriend, Chuck Wicks, Denise Richards, Shawn Johnson, and a few others that really didn't interest me.

Who really did interest me? Gilles Marini was the one I couldn't wait to see. After watching the Sex and the City movie, he really spiked my interest. He did not disappoint in Dancing with the Stars! Gilles practically burned the finish off the the dance floor with his amazing moves. Carrie Ann Inaba explained that Gilles wife is a very lucky girl to have a husband with such great moves.

The big disappointment on the show was Denise Richards - she showed an almost total lack of both talent and personality. The Woz might have been the person I would like to hang out with the most, but he wasn't cut out to be a dancer. Chuck Wicks gave it his all, and lasted longer than most. I was not interested in watching Lil' Kim, until I saw what an amazing dancer she turned out to be. Derek Huff showed what expert choreography and showmanship can bring to the dance floor with his amazing routines. They proved to be a powerful duo when they showed that they had chemistry along with their talent. How stunning was it then that Lil' Kim was voted off ahead of several less talented dance partners.

As it stands right now the last couples in competition are Melissa and Tony, Ty and Chelsie, Gilles and Cheryl, Shawn and Mark. When Jewel fractured the tibia in both her legs five days before the season premiere, that is when Melissa stepped up and took her place. Melissa didn't struggle too much for someone with such little prep time - she has training in ballet. Her dancing has been almost flawless, earning her a set of perfect scores on the last show. Even if you get a perfect score from the judges, you still risk being voted off the show. In the fifth season of Dancing with the Stars, Sabrina Bryan was voted off the show after being the first person, with her dancing partner, to achieve a perfect score from the judges. Rodeo champion Ty Murry has worked on his dancing the most and it shows. He happens to be very adorable too. His background as a rodeo star did little to prepare him, but more than likely gives him a wide and different fan base for voters. Just like in Beijing, Olympic Gold Medal winner Shawn Johnson has showed us some outstanding steps with the precision we would expect from the diminutive gymnast. Then there's Gilles who has never danced a dance I didn't enjoy.

Who will win? Another celebrity contestant and their partner gets sent off on the next show. After that the three last dance teams have a final dance-off. I will certainly be watching.

On a side note, one of the best ways to watch Dancing with the Stars is in high definition. After fifteen years with my regular 32-inch screen I decided to take the leap and make the HDTV upgrade with a new widescreen TV. Oh Man! You may be thinking what I used to think - how can it make that much of a difference in picture and sound quality? Well, I'm here to tell you it really does. Of course I also had to get HD cable service from my local cable provider, Comcast Cable, but the service is outstanding and the rates for adding high definition service are very low. By taking advantage of a bundle special for my area I was able to add Comcast High Speed Internet and Comcast Digital Voice. Not only is my television picture and sound the clearest I've ever experienced, my download speeds are amazing with my new broadband Internet service. As a bonus, they offer digital phone service at flat rate pricing. The phone is very clear and I can call friends and family around the US and never have to pay long distance charges. If Comcast is your local cable provider or you're planning on moving to an area covered by Comcast, I definitely recommend calling them up and ordering their great services. I suggest using the web to find the best Comcast Cable promotions and savings out there. You really can save a bunch if you know where to find them. Consider Comcast's bundle called Triple Play. You can get each service in one discounted package for huge savings over purchasing each one individually.
