One of the superb aspects of the iPhone 4 handset is how easily the device links with other equipment to improve your all round user experience on the phone.  One area where the use of peripheral devices is beneficial is when it comes to the audio playback on the model. The iPhone 4 is great as a portable audio player but what about when you are at home and perhaps want to listen to your music on a high quality audio system?  There are numerous docking stations available for the iPhone 4 which enable you to dock the phone and music is played back through the units in built speakers.  These systems range from very cheap solutions to very expensive and high quality docking stations from excellent audio brands such as Bose and Sony.  If you already have a HiFi system that you want to use then the phone can be linked directly to an auxiliary input by using the phones 3.5mm stereo jack socket.  There is however a better solution to this if you use a laptop to update your phone.  This laptop will already have iTunes installed and all of the music that you have transferred to your phone.  By linking up the computer to the HiFi once again using the stereo jack socket you can then control music playback from your phone if you download an application called iRemote.  This turns your phone into a virtual remote control being you do not have to select songs and change volume via the laptop.  The iRemote application is also great if you are having a party as guests with iPhones can enter a code and select what song they want to hear next.Apple are due to launch a new software update for the iPhone 4 very soon and this new platform will include access to the excellent Airplay service.  Airplay enables the wireless streaming of your music files to compatible audio equipment.  Many brands such as Denon and B&W are producing docking stations and AV Receivers with Airplay integrated.   The advantage of this new system is that it has the potential for you to run a whole multi room audio system from your iPhone 4 and iTunes.  Not only is the music streamed but also the information about the track so the display of the unit will tell you what song is playing and which album it is from.  If you had three Airplay units around your home it is possible to have the same song playing on all three at the same time so no matter what room you are in you will never miss a beat. The iPhone 4 is the ultimate phone for music lovers and the introduction of iOS5 this autumn will further enhance the phones facilities.  Whether you like to listen to your music whilst jogging or you like to use it for more social occasions the iPhone 4 has something for everybody.  The iPhone 4 and the HTC Sensation are available now.
