Mobile apps hold a prominent place in both small & large enterprises of present day India. Like several countries worldwide,The Mobile App Deployment Scenario in Current Indian Enterprises Articles India’s enterprises have also realized the importance of mobile app solutions to further business mobility. Mobile applications assist in speedy delivery & better decision making; moreover, they allow enterprises to keep in constant touch with the target audience base. Constant interaction with the user base allows enterprises in India to understand their mobile needs & expectations better, and it is for this reason that mobile apps are being deployed in every department of an Indian enterprise. From Indian banks that allow customers to make financial transactions using mobile devices, to retail stores which are trying to enhance their in store experience in order to attract a larger number of customers, every type of enterprise in India now deploys mobile apps & other forms of mobile technology.

A report published towards the end of year 2011 states that the enterprise mobile app development scenario of India will record a profit of more than $1 billion by the end of year 2015. In India, both small & large companies are using methods of workflow management, sales force, location based services, and employee self service to build mobile applications which can run on all major OS platforms & which are also cost effective so that they may easily be deployed across all types & sizes of enterprises. Mobile application development is such a bourgeoning industry in India that there are now over 26,000 registered app designers in the country and more than 40,000 apps available at BlackBerry World alone.

Since India is still a developing nation, mobile research analysts find the rise in mobile app use by enterprises phenomenal. In fact, it is only in the recent past that the mobile app deployment scenario has recorded a massive growth in the country. According to reports, it is because of the presence of so many different sectors within a single Indian enterprise that the requirement of mobile apps is felt more strongly. Efficient management of the various sectors is needed, and this can only be done if there is constant interaction & communication which is facilitated through mobile app deployment. For instance, one enterprise in India may be involved with healthcare, PR, & rural marketing. Coordination between these different departments of the enterprise and maintenance of a bridge between the employees & customers can be successfully done through the use of mobile apps alone.

The concept of BYOD (bring your own device) has seen widespread acceptance in Indian enterprises. It was only a few years ago that the average India  worker preferred to fill up details on a timesheet using data stored in office desktops; today, however, smartphones can be seen in most Indian hands and completing official work while on the go is a common occurrence. In fact, the rise in the sale of smartphones in India is directly indicative of the fact that an increasing number of mobile apps are being deployed in the country’s enterprises.

To conclude, good operational performance, workflow integration, and business mobilization have been possible in Indian enterprises due to the deployment of mobile apps. Small enterprises in India are catching up on the trend of deploying functional apps by emulating their large counterparts, and this is having positive effects on enterprise resources and funds.
