It was not so many months ago that we were seeing the first 1Ghz processors being fitted into smartphone devices.  The mobile phone market however evolves at incredible speed and we are now seeing the first models sporting dual cores capabilities.  This means that the processors have two totally independent cores so if one task is being performed,The Motorola Atrix And The LG Optimus 2X Go Head To Head Articles the second core is left available to perform a totally different function.  This development has not only aided the overall speed of modern handsets but also improved their multi tasking facilities.  Two of the first handsets to sport this technology are the Motorola Atrix and the LG Optimus 2X, but which one should you be opting for if you are in the market for one of these models? The Motorola Atrix marches in to an early lead over the Optimus 2X thanks to its excellent display.  Despite both models offering large 4 inch screens the Atrix boasts a resolution which is only bettered by the Apple Retina display which is regarded as the very best available.  The qHD resolution of 540 x 960 gives incredible clarity to all manner of images displayed on screen from games to multi media content.  Compared to the mobile phone market in general the Optimus 2X still offers outstanding quality at 480 x 800 and in fairness most models would find it very hard to match up to the excellent Atrix in this department.   When designing the Atrix it is obvious that the developers wanted to ensure that this model was not only high specification in the processor and screen department.  Storage capacity is exceptional on the phone with the maximum possible capacity being 48GB thanks to a hefty 16GB of internal storage coupled with the facility to add a 32GB micro SD card.  The Optimus 2X still gives a good account of itself by offering 8GB internal with the same SD card capabilities. An area often overlooked on many mobile phones is the battery life yet it is a feature that plays a vital part in many consumers use of there product.  All to often you here people moaning that there phone only lasts a day between charges so this is an area that can potentially influence a customers purchasing decision.  The Motorola Atrix once again impresses thanks a battery that offers a huge 1930mAh capacity that eclipses most modern smartphones.  This battery should offer users around 350 hours of standby time or a huge 9 hours talktime.  Once again the Optimus 2X compares favourably with many phones thanks to its 1500mAh unit, but with the Atrix it has come up against a true champion of a phone.  An area where the LG handset does redeem itself is when it comes to the camera facility thanks to a great quality 8 mega pixel sensor that boasts features that include both a dual LED flash and an autofoucs.   The image resolution is a full 3 million pixels more than what you will find on the otherwise superb Atrix.Motorola seem to have pulled out all of the stops in developing the Atrix and this seems to have paid dividends.  It really is one of the best phones available whilst the LG Optimus 2X, despite some great features, simply cannot live up to the high standards set by the Motorola model. The Motorola Atrix and the LG Optimus 2X are available now.
