The end of World War 1, found the use of the watches on a decline. The watches have been a symbol of masculine appearance which was reigning the world of male fashion for about three centuries. The 1970s to 1980s when the three piece suit came into vogue, the pocket watches resurged as a necessary accessory with it. A vest pocket was distinctly tailored to carry these watches.
