According to the report of Gartner, technology and business insight leader, it published the top 10 rank list of semiconductor manufactures. The report showed, Broadcom, Micron and Reneses technology are newcomers of top 10 lists. However, Internet and AMD are dropped out.
By 2010, in line with Gartner’s report, the annual market revenue reached 29.94 billion in 2010, comparing to 70.7 billion of 2009, which is increased by 30.9%. The rise is the biggest in semiconductor history. The rebound of the semiconductor industry is benefited from the recovery of world economic recession and the accumulation of semiconductor stock. Peter Middleton, the chief analyst of Gartner expressed.
On the top 10 list of 2010, Internet dropped from top10. It is market share decreased from 14.6%to 14%.
Samsung ranked top 2 in the list, who perform actively in DRAM and NAND areas. Moreover, the third one Toshiba’s annual avenue increased by 28.7% owing to the good sale of NAND. In addition, TI, STM microelectronics, Renesas Electronics respectively ranked fourth, fifth and sixth place.
Besides, Hynix semiconductors kept the seventh places. Micro Electronics increased from 13th place to eighth one. Due to the pressures of mobile industry, Qualcomm ranked from sixth place to the ninth one.
