Of course you can try to get it to work without a cable. After all there are a ton of other things you can use, like sticks and rocks…Oh, did that catch you off guard? It should have, because you can’t play any type of electronic with sticks and rocks, otherwise it wouldn’t be electronic. If you thought that was possible you might as well go join an Amish commune. The Nintendo wii is not a device that can function without a power source and it’s as simple as that.

This is the device that carries the video and the sound from the device to the television set so that you can actually see and hear all of the commands that you are inputting. So of course it is actually possible to play without this cable, bus as you won’t be able to see or hear literally anything, you won’t be able to get any fun out of it and it will seem pretty futile and pointless.

So either way you look at it, the device is impossible to use without the Nintendo Wii Cable that you would need in order to really get it going. In regards to the power source that goes from the wii to an electrical outlet, you don’t have much in the way of choice. I believe some third party companies release other colors for it so if you want it to have a fun color you might want to search the internet or something like that, but if you really really want the thing in order to play, you might as well get the one that you know is going to work and the one that is manufactured by the Nintendo company.

In fact one of the most popular third party versions is one for the HDTV and one for the regular definition TV and what it does is it is a device that is designed to hook into the TV but has multiple plugs diverging from the other end of the AV that can go into the wii or into one of the other popular types of game systems out on the market today such as the xbox 360 and the playstation 3.

There are plenty of different kinds and brands of Nintendo Wii Cable that you can find on the internet, in video game stores, in pawn shops, in the basements of many parents old and young. They can be found everywhere but it doesn’t really matter which brand you buy from because they are simple products that are all meant to do the same thing, and it’s not like one brand does it better than another.
