The one disadvantage of the led bike light is the fact that it produces low power headlight and a rear red LED suffice at low speed. It is not appropriate for areas that are poorly lit and are unfamiliar.

For a common bicycle using the led bike light this is the setup. It has a high power led bike light headlight which is powered by a rechargeable battery pack or dynamo. The tail led bike light is steady, flashing or pulsating. The front light is also flashing and pulsating. This is to increase the conspicuousness of the bicycle lighting and as a backup.

For a bicycle using theled bike lights they should be handled with care to ensure they have a longer lifecycle. The LED is very sensitive and hence you should avoid overheating or overdriving. The driving electronics should also be properly designed. When the life cycle of the led bike light is cut short the light dims or it can even completely burn out.
