What Apple Has in Box of iPad Version Of iOS 7

iOS 7 is believed to be the first radical redesigning of Apple's iOS ever since its very first iPhone and iOS was launched in 2007. Apple has left no pixel unturned in this version of iOS and the outcome is in the form of bright and stark contrast that has received mixed opinions from experts. It appears that Apple has clearly focused on clean minimalistic design and each individual stock app. During WWDC, Apple appeared somewhat concerned about how new iOS would fit on iPhones with all their demos being smart phones only. Even the beta version of iOS 7 was lacking features that would have made it fit for iPads as well. After two weeks of WWDC, Apple released the iPad version of iOS 7 but I felt that there is a lot more that needs improvement in this version.

I feel that Apple is putting the development of an iPad version of iOS 7 off to concentrate primarily on developing iOS 7 only for iPhones. Another possibility is that Apple has contained the development of an iPad version of iOS 7 until the arrival of new hardware for iPad that is expected to come anytime in the last three months of this year. This is done to ensure that the iPad version of iOS 7 is compatible with iPad 5 and iPad 5 MINI as well. Experts believe that Apple is possibly infusing something special in the iPad version of iOS 7. As of now, the fact is that every part of iOS 7 has been developed for two new phones of Apple – iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C.

This is believed as a temporary substitute as Apple is working on the new and enhanced version of iOS 7 for iPads to take complete advantage of the larger screens of iPads. This is very much possible because iOS 7 is termed as a restart of Apple after Steve Jobs and it is expected to build new blocks for Apple's mobile strategy for coming years. Therefore, it is worth mulling upon as to what could these features be in the iPad version of iOS 7.

For beginners, iPad would greatly benefit from its true features of multitasking for specific apps. It is predicted that Apple could start out with iPad specific version of its applications, so that users could run Safari and other pages side-by-side in iPads in landscape mode. This way, users would be able to run mail, calendar, notes and other apps side-by-side with two apps running simultaneously on single iPad screen. There are possibilities of notification centre getting a major overhaul. It would be accessible as a sidebar as available on Apple Mac with a two finger swipe. There are predictions that the notification centre and control centre would be combined and presented as a sidebar. If seen from access point of view, this is a far better option than the current windows of iPhones that drag it in the centre of the screen.

Next innovation would be the stock apps but most of them will be of no use on the iPads. They would simply be the swollen version of apps actually made for iPhones. No doubt, iPad has some qualities that even Apple is unaware of, the separate version of iOS 7 and its features would simply work to drag people's attention towards iPads all over again. OS of any device plays a very important role these days and iPad is no exception. Therefore, Apple is working to give its iPad; the best iOS so far, doesn’t matter if it is delayed by some time.
